May half term has a relaxed vibe in Bucks, Berks and Oxfordshire. Call by for an hour or two, or make a day of it. Follow the snail trail at Cliveden, to find out how some Roman snails hitched a ride to Cliveden in 1896 and never left. At Greys Court and Basildon Park there are prize trails to follow and acres of woodland to run around and build dens in. At Hughenden you can spin the wheel to embark on a journey with characters from Hughenden's past. Stowe has an augmented reality trail following the adventures of Ickle Owl. And at Waddesdon, there’s free entry for children at half term and they can get interactive with a Celestial Sound Cloud.
Stowe is a vast and exciting playground for children with winding paths, wildlife-filled lakes and intriguing statues and monuments.
There's a natural playground for climbing, balancing and make-believe at Hughenden. Children also love the walled garden with its narrow paths for running along and a willow tunnel for winding their way through.
There's a children's play area nestled in the woodland at Greys Court and a walk around the estate is livened with fallen logs for balance-walking. Also look out for the lambs in spring.

Waddesdon's popular woodland playground has been refurbished and there's a brand new zip wire, board rider, swings and roundabout. The Aviary is also a must for children to spot the exotic birds.
There are some great walks at Cliveden to get the whole family spending time together in the great outdoors. The Blue walking trail is a great place to start, taking you via the natural Play Trail.
Children can explore the outdoors in the natural play area created for very young children just off the Lime Avenue.
